In what we hope becomes an annual tradition for years to come, please mark your calendar for the first ever annual meeting of Georgia Kayak Fishing. The dates are for Friday, Oct 15th thru Sunday, Oct 17th.

Once we have an itinerary finalized (details will be complete following the Lake Harding tourney & festival) we will update this announcment. We are posting the announcement nowto give everyone ample time to put this event on their calendar.

Our friends at SouthEast Adventure Outfitters are working closely with the board to put together a fantastic weekend offfering the finest of what the Golden Isles have to offer, including kayak fishing excursions, eco tours, island excursions and fantastic food! We're even working on some surprises that are sure to put a smile on your face.

We do want to remind everyone that the annual meeting is a family event. Meaning, bring the spouse and kids! This event is just for you old salts. And of course, the annual meeting is open to all in the GKF family and not just supporting members.

The annual meeting is really about bringing our members together from across the state to meet face to face, doing some fishing and enjoy each other's company. We hope you're schedules can accomodate this great opportunity to play on the GA Coast at one of the best times of year to be there.

That sounds like a great weekend. I've never been to St. Simon's before and my bride and I have talked about it several times.

This would be a great time to get together after the heat and bugs have run their course...

Thanks for the advance notice.

Should be a nice time to get into a few bull reds off the beach and St. Simons is VERY close to some good bull fishing spots...:-)

Sorry, I won't be able to attend. It's too far of a drive for me. :P

Berry, if this year is anything like last year, that's exactly where I'll be! Be glad to show the ropes to anyone who's never gone after bull reds off the beach in a yak.
