This is a great opportunity! We're fortunate to have Stan right here in our own backyard. New and not so new, if you haven't had the opportunity to have Stan take a look at your yak, your current rigging and talk with you about how to get setup for how you fish, this is your shot!

Much of the customiztion done to my Big Game has come after having Stan take a look at the boat in my presence while we discuss how to get it right.

So yes, bring your kayak and be prepared to discuss how you use/would like to use your boat. It's the best investment of time you can make to get your yak just the way you want it!

And yeah, let's talk about setting up for the winter striper fishing season. Here are a couple of different pics showing me trolling for stripers. One rod is a downline, the other on a planer board. And soon, I'll be changing that just a bit. Note- The rigging ideas came directly from conversations with Stan regarding my needs/preferences as a striper fisherman.

This sounds like fun - I'll try to be there with my Ride. I can't believe we are talking about winter fishing already - where did the summer go?

Wish I could make it! If you want great products, advice and even help rigging your yak CDE is your #1 source! I needed an anchor trolley at the last minute before the Savannah tourney, Stan fixed me up and even rigged it for me! It works great, if you don't have a CDE anchor trolley kit, I highly recommend it! Works perfect. A pic of my ride with CDE products installed:

I'll make a pot of chili to keep us warm while we work on our yaks. If I could get a headcount it would be helpful.

I hope to be there with a 2009 Tarpon 160. TOW still doesn't have any of the new Tarpons in and I want to sit in one before I order the T-160. We'll see as it gets closer.

:( Dec. 13.

Wish I could do both.
CDE Rigging Seminar or Kayak Fishing Tournament in Carabelle. Image.

Image I know, If I am in the middle of getting my roof replaced, I come to the rigging seminar -- if not, I go to Carrabelle and fish the "Expeditions in Hell" Tourney. :D

Too bad my Big Game isn't supposed to be here until January. :x

Sam

I would really like to make it! However, it is a long drive from Statesboro. My wife surprised me Monday night with a OK Prowler 13. Any chance you will be further south anytime soon? 1:00 start time is good but I could be there earlier. I need help with rigging rod holders, anchor trolly, GPS/FF mounts, battery type, and maybe a stakeout rod, etc...

Right now I am leaning towards the following purchases:

Stohlquist Fishing vest = 99bucks

Bending Branches Slice glass = 125bucks (not sure about the size, im 6' with a 31" torso)

VHF radio Standard Horizon = 150bucks

Plan on fishing small lakes, savannah area rivers and coast, Altamaha river, and the Fl keys once a year.

Thanks!
