Look at the Venue
When thinking about picking someone up on the street ask yourself why you want to do this. This is one of the hardest places to pick someone up. Is there a small shop or a coffee shop close by? Even picking a woman up at Walmart is easier than picking her up on the street. This will be the first place that you try, but it is by far the hardest. It may only be easy if you are a tourist in a different area and seem confused. This is one of the only times when I would recommend new pick up artists to try to find a woman on the street.
Research a spot
In most cities, the best time to get a woman is a Saturday afternoon. In a college town, weekday afternoons are best. Take a look at a woman walking away. Make sure there are plenty of women that walk down this street. If the street is empty move on to another place. Find a place where an attractive woman passes at least every 5 minutes. Do not focus on a crowded area. This can make her uncomfortable. She may not want to talk to you in front of a large group. When you find the right place wait for an attractive woman. This is much easier than aimlessly wandering. You can become familiar with the area and use this to your advantage.
